While a flash might seem like an interesting idea for a gift, believe me I have gotten my fair share of them as gifts for being in wedding over the years, they just aren’t practical. The main problem is that there is no time when you can use them. Sure, I could be one of those cheap guys that fills it up and takes it out to the bar, only orders cokes and adds my own booze but seriously. That sucks. You can’t bring them into concerts or shows because you get frisked like there’s no tomorrow and just taking a casual stroll down the beach with a flash in your pocket seems a bit too tacky for my taste.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the beauty of a flash I just don’t know when in the world I will ever put mine to use without looking like a weirdo/cheapskate.

If you know the guy you’re buying the flask is a spirits drinker, then a flask seems like a good gift to me. It’s more personal than a gift card.
