Here are 5 awesome tips to Cut Your Grocery Costs :

Don’t shop hungry: Don’t go food shopping on an hollow stomach. If you do, everything in the store will will be saying “eat me” to you and you will definitely find yourself go off the path from your shopping list. If you go shopping between eating times , you might want to think about eating a small snack before you go.

Shop with a list: this sounds obvious , but you would be surprised how many neglect to do this. Take an stock of your home pantry and make a list of the products you need at the market . The list will stop you from buying duplicate items or items you don’t need that may go to waste.

Use unit pricing to decide what are the best deals: Use the unit price to make it easier to determine the best price when comparing different sized items. The unit price can tell you if a bigger size is really more economical than a smaller size item. Many times , larger packages cost less per unit than smaller packages.

Don’t buy precut items: You pay extra for the convenience of having meats, cheeses and vegetables cut for you. If you truly wish to save money at the grocery store then start buying whole chickens, vegetables and cheese.

Shop alone if you can : I realize this may not always be possible or practical whenever possible don’t take your children or spouse with you on your food shopping trips – unless they are in for the grocery game. Those extra “helpers” can throw you off track and add unneeded items that are not on your list.
