Do you want to stop sugar cravings before sugar cravings stop you? What is a sugar craving anyway? Most people like something sweet now and again. If it was not this way then the dessert people would be out of business. Sugar cravings are those desires that mean there might be a hormonal imbalance in the system. Some think it has something to do with an adrenal disorder.

If you need to sleep because of lack of sugar see your doctor. If you need to sleep because you ate sugar see your doctor. You might have an imbalance in your body. If you can see a dietitian or nutrition expert it would be better than seeing a regular doctor.

Unfortunately, doctors get very little training in nutrition in medical school. They do get a lot of training in medication use though. Nutrition on the other hand helps prevent many diseases in the first place. But it is not given a lot of importance in medical school training.

In our system doctors wait for someone to get sick and then treat the symptoms with medication. If you have a true sugar craving that is messing with your life however you do need to see your medical doctor to make sure this is not a sign of a more serious condition. But if you are not at that stage yet you can change your diet so you do not get to that point. You want to today begin eating a more healthy diet. And guess what healthier tastes better too.

If you want to see what is really wrong with our diet then visit your local sweet shop or go to the dessert section of your local super market. You will be able to buy desserts containing many man made ingredients you will not even be able to pronounce. You will not be so quick to blame simple sugar when you figure out what all those additives and preservatives can do to your body. How do they get all those chemical names on the label anyway.

You see it is not the sugar cravings that is doing you in. It is all the man made ingredients. And here is a shock… Shortening is man made. It kind of sounds like home made. Shortening sounds like something grandma would use. Well she would use it if she wanted to use an oil that was originally produced to keep machine parts lubricated.

Its first use was to use it in the machine rooms for lubrication. It is great because it does not need to be refrigerated. So one smart guy thought about making pastry dough with the stuff. It is now a major ingredient in most store bought desserts. And a lot of people cook home made desserts with it. But do not do this. Use regular butter. I know the media has made butter a real culprit, but it beats eating oil that was made to lubricated machines with.

Listen it is not the sugar that might be hurting you. It is all the man made ingredients that you consume when you eat store bought desserts. And of course the shortening is not helping either. Do this. Make your own desserts. Use regular sugar and use real butter. The media has made butter the bad guy but it is not. Do not use shortening in your home made desserts and you just might say goodbye to your sugar cravings for good. You see the store bought desserts do not satisfy. They only make you want more of the same stuff. Beat the system make your own.

Sugar Addiction is very real for many people and something that is hard to break. Eating too much sugar can lead to many health problems for the future, so it’s clearly not something you should shrug off. Stop Sugar Cravings and start losing weight.
